About us
Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels was founded in June 1972. We started with six clients and some seed money from the Montvale Rotary Club. Volunteers were hard to find; it seemed like nobody had heard of a program like this! Today, we have hundreds of volunteers on fourteen routes delivering meals to clients throughout northen Bergen County. The large majority of our funding comes from private donations and client payments.
A growing need
Bergen County has the largest senior population in New Jersey. We anticipate that the proportion of homebound seniors will increase in Bergen County over the next decade.
